It's never too early to hire a bookkeeper. Tracking your income, expenses, receipts, and balances is extremely important for the growth of your business. We recommend hiring a bookkeeper whenever you feel that the process is becoming too time-consuming and is taking away time from your business. How do you price your services?
We have a variety of services that vary based on needs that we can tailor to you and your business. All packages have either a flat fee or a monthly rate. We would love to book a strategy session to get to know you and your business needs. The strategy session is free and we can explore options and pricing based on your needs together.
If you're not ready for full-service bookkeeping, we can discuss other options like our DIY Quickstart package to help you get started using Quickbooks Online or our One-on-One Training if you are already using Quickbooks Online and need help getting organized, completing your bookkeeping, and understanding your finances.
Are you an accountant? Can you file my taxes too?
At this time we do not offer tax preparation or tax filing, but we are happy to work with your accountant to make sure we are all on the same page with unique tax situations and to get your taxes completed on time or early. Typically, most people meet with their accountant once a quarter or once a year. Our concern is the day-to-day flow of money within your business and how it affects you and your profits.
If you do not currently work with an accountant or are looking to make a change, we have many professionals we enjoy partnering with that we can recommend!
What software do you use?
For bookkeeping, we work exclusively in Quickbooks Online. If you do not already have a Quickbooks Online account, we can get you set up with one at a significantly discounted rate through our partnership. The discount is good for as long as we are your bookkeepers, but your Quickbooks Online account is yours to keep even if you change bookkeepers.
If you are interested in any of our additional services (A/R, A/P, payroll, etc.) we are familiar with many client management programs (17hats, Dubsado, Honeybook, etc.), bill payment systems (Bill.com, Melio, etc.), as well as many payroll processors (ADP, Gusto, etc.) and are happy to work with whatever solutions you are currently utilizing or provide you with suggestions for improvement.
What do you need from me to get started?
When you sign a contract with us, we will send over a list of documents needed for us to begin and some action items for you to complete. We also schedule an onboarding meeting to walk you through some additional setup. At the beginning, you can expect some e-mails back and forth during the setup process and in the first few months of our partnership. As we get to know your business and transactions better, we will have less questions for you each month.
We will not ask you for your bank account login information. Everything is automated and securely imported from your bank to Quickbooks Online. For some banks that may not support Quickbooks automation, we will work with you to determine the most efficient way to obtain monthly statements.
Can you catch up my books from the beginning of the year?
YES!
In fact, we typically prefer to start from January 1 of the current year in order to make sure that everything is completely, 100% accurate. If you have not yet filed taxes for prior years, we can work with you to determine an efficient way to catch-up on your books and bring you to current.
